In
January 2004, the
Bible Reading Fellowship
will publish
Launchpad a book that will introduce a new concept
in church services. With five series to choose from and 17 service frameworks
in total,
Launchpad is designed to 'launch' children from the age of
five into the Christian faith by presenting the gospel in a clear, exciting
and non-patronising way, whilst at the same time communicating profound truths
to enable adult members of the congregation to discover new things about God.

The five themes are explored through a variety
of creative approaches giving plenty of flexibility. Topics covered include:
meeting God’s heroes; living together in harmony; the story of David; the
events of Holy Week and Easter and an Advent series based on the gifts of
the magi. The suggested orders of service are designed be used as they stand,
or adapted to suit individual needs. Alongside the seventeen service frameworks,
there is a comprehensive introduction giving lots of advice to get you started,
suggestions for creating the identity, and online support through this website. |
