Written by Neil Pugmire and Mark Rodel (pictured, left, as Chester the Jester from the “Jester’s Tales” series of Launchpad services), and with original music by Kevin Golledge, the 17 service frameworks will be based on Launchpad services held at St Jude’s Church, Southsea, and Tangier Road Baptist Church in Portsmouth over the past few years. The tried-and-tested resources include drama, stories, prayers, activities, original songs and liturgy.
In January 2004, the Bible Reading Fellowship will publish Launchpad – a book that will introduce a new concept in church services. With five series to choose from and 17 service frameworks in total, Launchpad is designed to 'launch' children from the age of five into the Christian faith by presenting the gospel in a clear, exciting and non-patronising way, whilst at the same time communicating profound truths to enable adult members of the congregation to discover new things about God.
